Green Roofs
All types of roofs constructed over built spaces, partially or completely covered with vegetation and a growing medium, planted over a waterproofing membrane.
Green Walls
Completed projects featuring vertical greenery (a construction with climbers directly on the facades, trellises, or as modular systems), inside and outside buildings.
Green Neighbourhood
Initiatives focused on integrating greenery into publicly accessible or community urban environments with comprehensive environmental and social benefits.
Green Infrastructure Policy
Individual or team leadership that develops and implements policies and/or programmes which result in the acceleration of urban green infrastructure.
Green Infrastructure Research: Academic Work
Activities and projects in public or private sectors that are related to architecture and socioeconomics research.
Green Infrastructure Research: Student Posters
Student posters that present original research, case studies, or conceptual designs related to green infrastructure.
Innovative Living Systems
Realised projects with integration of living systems (for example, plants, fungi or algae) on or within a building envelope.
Unintended Greenery
Incidences of unintended greenery which contribute to healthy urban ecosystems, add beauty, biophilic quality, climate resilience, and more.
Green Infrastructure Champion
Category honouring individuals, companies, or others that have made a significant contribution to the green infrastructure industry.
