The World Green Infrastructure Network has long recognized that the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, and interconnected sustainability challenges we face today transcend borders and affect all nations, albeit with profound unequal impacts and responsibilities.

Due to overwhelming international interest, WGIC26 has extended the submission deadline. Researchers and professionals now have until 31 May 2026 to present their work.

The best papers presented at WGIC26 will be fast-tracked for publication in Special Issues of Urban Forestry & Urban Greening, a leading Elsevier journal in urban green infrastructure.
